Tod Engine

Our latest acquisition is this 35 ton crane built by Morgan Engineering Company in Alliance, Ohio.  It was ordered on October 24, 1892 by the Otis Steel Company, Ltd., and shipped on January 28, 1893 to Cleveland, Ohio. It was installed at the Otis Lakeside Works and operated there until the plant closed after WWII.  At that point it was sold and moved to Masury, Ohio and installed in a new building there. This crane has a 38' 7" span and will be relocated to the Tod Engine Heritage Park in 2008, where it will serve as our main means of lifting equipment for working on the Tod Engine.
